At a Nevada-based elementary school’s, ‘Back of the Closet’ dress-up day, two art teachers shine and sparkle, and encourage others to do the same.

One of the most expensive purchases in a person’s life, their wedding day outfit, is most important on the big day.

However, after the wedding, the dress sits unused at the back of the wardrobe, rarely used.

Two elementary school art teachers, Loreal Hemenway and Stephanie Osmundson from Henderson, Nevada, found a cool new way to utilize their wedding dresses, as per Business Insider.

The school officials sent an email asking all teachers to dress up based on the theme, “Back of the Closet,” for a staff development day.

To try and bring some extra fun factor through costumes and match the energy of the kids, the teachers thought of an innovative idea.

When most other teachers dressed in their old sports jerseys and Letterman jackets, the creativity of Hemenway and Osmundson was evident when they dug deep inside their closets to recover their wedding gowns.

The fun-loving teachers looked gorgeous as they entered the school premises with their beautiful, flowy gowns on.

The teachers captured the moment in a short video and shared it on their common Instagram account, titled – Happily Ever Elementary.

Their Instagram account boasts a massive following of around 270,000 followers, and the clip has received more than 11,000 likes since being posted in January this year.

They captioned the video as “Just your typical school dress up day 👀👰🏻‍♀️👰🏼‍♀️✨💐💒💖🤣. Ummm the assignment was to wear what’s in the BACK OF YOUR CLOSET!!! We followed the assignment 🤷‍♀️.”

They added, “Grateful for a team of beautiful bridesmaids and specialists that hyped us up 🫶🏻💗 We couldn’t sit down but the fact they fit is amazing enough!”

Although the teachers were nervous when they walked into the class, along with their backpacks and water bottles, to their amazement, they were met with smiles, happiness, and cheers from their colleagues.

Two other staff members wore bridesmaid dresses, providing an unexpected opportunity for the teachers to bond.

Despite their fears, Osmundson told Business Insider, “Even though things can be intimidating, I think doing things that sometimes scare us or might embarrass us are still worth a try.”

Hemenway has been teaching at the school for the last 10 years, while Osmundson for eight. They began teaching kindergarten together and have shared the art teacher role for the past three years.

They also grew nostalgic while wearing the gowns, remembering their wedding day, and spending quality time with each of their husbands.

The Hemenways celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary a bit early this year and clicked a picture together, while the Osmundsons danced in their house.
