A one-year-old toddler from Ghana breaks the previous world record to become the world’s youngest artist painter.
One year and 152 days old Ace-Liam Nana Sam Ankrah created history when his name was included in the Guinness World Records.
Ace-Liam from Ghana started painting at the young age of six months, according to the New York Post. Guinness World Records acknowledged him as the World’s youngest male artist.
An artist and mother of Ace-Liam, Chantelle Kuukua Eghan was working on an art piece commissioned to her for Miss Universe in 2023. Her son was distracting her, to keep him occupied, the single mother provided him with some paints and a canvas.

To her surprise, the infant Ace-Liam crawled around the canvas with paints, and she very aptly named his first creation, “The Crawl.”
Eghan told BBC News that her son was intrigued by the bright colors and soon she understood that her son found joy in this. The youngest artist in the world understands how colors complement each other, while his paintings also show his intrigue in discovering new things.
As Ace-Liam has learned to walk and talk, he now asks his mom for paints and has his own mini easel stand that he uses to create various masterpieces.
He sports an apron and has a paint palette as he asks his mother for paint. He chooses his color palette based on his choice for the day, and his paintings might take anywhere from a few minutes to several days to complete.
When he’s completed, he says, “Mama finish” to let her know the artwork is finished, she told Guinness.
As he continued to create more paintings that covered their refrigerator, his mother got his work displayed in the Museum of Science and Technology in Ghana’s capital, Accra.
The First Lady of Ghana, Rebecca Akufo-Addo, appreciated the little artist’s exhibition and even commissioned work from him.
The youngest painting artist sold nine artworks exhibited and he has sold a total of 15 pieces to date. The Guinness World Records bestowed him with the title of the world’s youngest artist last week.
When Eghan received the email confirmation for the above, she told BBC News, she broke down into tears of joy and thanked God.
The thrilled mother now wishes that, as his fame rises, her son will be able to obtain the necessary scholarships to help him learn and polish his talent further, as well as sell his artwork globally. She hopes his experience will inspire other parents to give their children a try at painting as well.
Eghan added to Guinness, “Every child is unique, and nurturing their passions can lead to amazing discoveries and achievements.”
